For over one hundred years The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel has remained a source of pride and joy for those fortunate enough to host their wedding or special event on the property. When words like “luxury” and “premiere” are used in a hotel’s marketing brand it tends to evoke a sense of extravagance, comfort, and impeccable service. At Fairmont, these are not concepts taken lightly, but rather core principles to be practiced and improved upon.
With that, the Copley Plaza hotel has recently unveiled a twenty million dollar renovation to celebrate their centennial anniversary. One of the most amazing stories they shared with me is that after ordering their new carpeting, they removed the old carpet. Much to everyone’s surprise there was a beautiful peacock mosaic peacock hiding underneath. I’ve shared a few photographs of this below.
One final thing I wanted to mention is my personal perspective of the event staff. As I’ve gotten to know Alice, Erica, and Lindsay I’ve found myself becoming increasingly impressed by them in both a professional and personal manner. It’s been my experience that (on occasion) some of the most sought after venues in a city can attract a staff that could be described as “all work and no play.” This was not the case with any of my interactions at Fairmont. Everyone was accomplished yet still open, passionate, and caring with a great sense of humor. I’m looking forward to continue to work with them (and their clients) for many years to come.
