My unique style of engagement photography is often inspired by the couple’s themselves and how they interact with each other. Most people have never had professional photographs taken of themselves before, so it can sometimes be difficult to capture their true personality. Because of this, I’m constantly trying to push myself to come up with creative and unique concepts for each session. I feel that many things have already been done before so my goal with each session is to provide each engaged couple with photographs that not only reflect their love for each other, but also highlight them in an authentic and comfortable atmosphere. I don’t want their photographs to look like anyone else’s.
Sneha and Donovan are exchanging their vows in a dual ceremony this August. I will be photographing their Hindu and Christian ceremony back to back. Each ceremony will follow tradition for the most part but I anticipate a day full of special moments! I was very excited when I learned this and asked if we could weave this theme into their engagement photography. We discussed a few ideas and decided to explore Raleigh to look for contrasting elements. I’m really pleased at how these turned out and hope they are too! I think they really begin to celebrate a merging of two cultures as well as a union of two people that are truly in love.
