It can sometimes be a challenge to find fresh and new locations for Raleigh engagement photos. Not with this couple though! Charles grew up in a beautiful home in North Raleigh where his parents have developed the surrounding yard into a beautiful and private sanctuary. I was impressed with all of the landscaping decisions they had made and was specifically excited to photograph the young couple under the large cherry blossom tree that was shedding it’s foliage.
Julie and Charles are an attractive couple through and through with a fun and playful personality. Just how I like ‘em! For this reason I did my best to capture both their inner beauty as well as their inner child. As you’ll see below their wedding is set for June of 2012 at Marbles Kids Museum. It’s going to be SO much fun! I look forward to capturing their special day as I’m sure will be bursting with color and emotion!
I’d be remissed if I didn’t send out a special thanks to Charles’s parents for being my “sun diffusers” and “branch shakers.” I couldn’t have done it without you!

I think this one might be my favorite…

Love this set. What a great couple. Captured beautifully.
Julie and Charles aka Chulie is the most adorable couple in my life. Your photos captured their effervescence on film. Can’t wait to see the wedding photos!
That’s one of the nicest things anyone has said! I would love to hang out with you guys anytime. One of the coolest things about my job is that I get to randomly meet great new people all the time. Thank you for opening your private lives to me and trusting me to document your story.
Craig, you are the master! Thank you for such a fun time (you know we were both nervous about it beforehand because we don’t like being in front of cameras). You made it feel like just a lovely afternoon hanging with a friend, which we now consider you:). We feel very lucky to have you as our photographer.
