Floating Mount Canvas Prints
The Floating mount as an elegant way to display prints. Like our Gallery wrap and Box mount products, the prints are dry mounted to museum quality 3/16-inch foam board.

In this case, however, the foam interior core of the black board shows around the edge while suspended off the wall by a hidden black box. An additional layer of foam board on the back keeps the print perfectly flat. A hanging wire is provided on the back so they can be hung on an adhesive or nail-supported hook (provided).
These prints can be larger than the similar Gallery wrap and Box mount prints. The mat-look border on the example is optional. The depth (distance of the print from the wall) can range from 1 inch to 3 inches.
Photo Mount Canvas Prints
Prints on this paper look similar to the small ones you are familiar with from your standard photo lab. The prints show rich, saturated colors, deep blacks, and great detail. An increased RC layer allows for heavy ink loads without paper “cockling” or waviness. Prints show excellent water-resistant properties, and there is no loss of gloss across the surface, even in areas with heavy ink coverage.

With papers currently available, there is a trade-off between a matt (non-reflective) surface and the highest D-max (deep dark blacks). The price you pay for good blacks and rich saturated colors in photo paper is more reflections from lights and windows in the room. You should choose a paper and coating based on which is more important for you.
