It seems like it’s been forever since I met with Audrey and Daniel but a year can also go by pretty quick too. After photographing their engagement session and Audrey’s bridal portrait I feel like I know the couple quite well and I hope that it shows in the following documentation. Their wedding took place in Sanford, NC at the First Baptist Church and their reception was at Chef Paul’s Cafe and Catering. This wedding was all about their close relationships with their family and friends. It was the perfect mix of heart and soul!
Even as I write this, everyone has been so excited to see these that I don’t want to keep them waiting any longer. Thus, I’ll keep this post short and sweet and let the photos speak for themselves for the most part. I’ll update it a little later next week when I get a free moment.

There is nothing like a mother’s reaction after seeing her daughter for the first time in her entire wedding gown and veil.

Audrey’s sister helps her put on the second of two garters.

Her friends made her a celebration banner. I’m not sure what the insider quotes were all about but I’m sure the families will understand…

This was one of the coolest “guy shots” I’ve taken. I found a wall that was half white and half brown… a perfect fit for Daniel’s brown and white suit and shirt.

There was also a barber shop called “Father & Son!” I used a foreground bush to mask out the extra words and created this appropriate generational portrait.

The couple chose to see each other before the wedding. This is a photo of the reveal.

We had fun playing in the fall leaves.

This one is super fun!

This photo was taken just minutes before Audrey walked down the aisle. I thought she looked stunning in it!

A proud father walks his daughter down the aisle. He then took on the role of officiant.

Daniel did his best to hold back the tears. There were several emotional moments throughout the ceremlony.

I really love how this photograph turned out. I had an idea to exaggerate the reflections of the top of piano by laying my camera on it while shooting.

Since Audrey’s dad was the officiant he had a bit of advice for Daniel… He said that “I know that you will take care of my daughter… BUT if you don’t Russel (Audrey’s brother) is getting bigger every day.” The entire church erupted in laughter.

And then there was this photo… Audrey’s dad’s expression on his face is simply classic! You won’t see that look on any other officiant that isn’t related to the bride.

The area surrounding the church was a little sparse and there was a lot of construction happening but we managed to find a few nice locations to shoot.

The couple took some time to greet family and friends. It was especially important for me to photograph as many interactions as possible since some of guests would not be able to attend the reception. This was one of my favorites.

Audrey’s grandma was simply ecstatic to be holding the bouquet. She told me that after all her years of being married that it was the first time she held a bouquet since she didn’t have one at her wedding. She looked so cute holding it.

Here’s a canvas frame I created for Audrey from her bridal portrait session.

Daniel dipped Audrey in style!

Right before dinner someone was hitting their glass to try to get the couple to kiss. Daniel and Audrey weren’t familiar with this tradition. After I told them that it “means that you’re supposed to kiss” they turned to me and said we thought one of our guests were getting super hungry and were banging their glasses to get served! That really made me chuckle pretty hard!

Daniel’s dad was a bit nervous giving his toast but he did an awesome job!

Audrey’s sister gave a very moving toast and offered up a prayer in closing.

This is also one of my favorites of the day. It’s a perfectly quiet and meaningful moment.

The wedding band is named RN5P and they members at the church. I have a lot of action shots but I thought this was a nice in the moment photograph that showed the closeness of everyone.

Audrey’s dad mixed up his dance with a bit of emotion and humor.

Daniel’s mother shares a dance with her son.

It took Daniel a few minutes to get the cake out of his nose. I have a photo of that but I’ll refrain from posting it here. :)

I love that one of the girls is lifting her sister to try to catch the bouquet!
