I knew that I was going to be in a for an exciting wedding when I first met with Julia’s mom Karen. She shared with me that her husband (Julia’s dad) Joe was the head curator at the North Carolina Museum of History. I had visions of a classy affair and was NOT disappointed when I arrived. Catering Works pulled out all the stops and decorated both the ceremony and reception site in detailed elegance.
Perhaps a few of the groomsmen will disagree with me but I think that one of the best decisions that Julia made, was to go with hot pink and green for her wedding colors. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings but this was my first pink and green color scheme. After meeting Julia and Thomas’s friends and family at the rehearsal dinner I realized that bold unapologetic color was the way to go!
I will be adding more to this post if I get time this week but I’m slammed right now with posts to blog and need to keep them short at the moment in order to make sure everyone gets their photographs in a timely fashion.

Line up ladies… This gives new meaning to the term “chain gang”

Quite possibly my favorite “fun” photograph of the entire day. It really shows off how close everyone was.

Thomas was so sweet when he sang to his mom.

Now this is what I call “rock” candy!

I couldn’t help but notice that one of the guests shirt unintentionally matched the ribbons on the candy jars so I set this creative photograph up.

I just thought this photo was kind of funny with the big pink (Julia’s signature wedding color) spyglass in the background!

During this quick, fun portrait I could tell that Joe is really loved and respected by all of his coworkers…

The resident DJ from Solas kept the party going…

I really love this shot! His girlfriend wore the perfect dress to compliment his vest.

As avid Dale Earnhardt fans, these wedding guests were totally stoked about getting photographed with the “number 3″ car at the museum.

I really liked this fun shot too.

A little garter toss fun…

YOU gotta FIGHT… for your RIGHT…

To PARTAYYYYYYY…!

Wedding sparklers… Always a favorite at the museum…
