For those hosting their Boston wedding, business meeting, or special event in Cambridge, the Museum of Science is the perfect choice. This venue has so many things going for it that I think got a little carried away with the number of photos I took. In my experience, most museums only offer a few choices as to where to have a wedding ceremony, reception, or meeting. This means you’re usually stuck with the entire event feeling “museum-ish” when all you really wanted was a harmonious mix of beauty and science.
At the Museum of Science I was surprisingly impressed by the breathtaking views that even rival some of Boston’s luxury brands. The pavilion offers an excellent open air (yet element protected) experience as it tucks right up next to the Charles River. The other ballrooms and meeting spaces sour high above the river with floor to ceiling windows. There are many venues that offer fabulous vistas looking out from the city, but this is one of the best panoramic views I’ve found that feature the entire Boston and Cambridge skylines.
For anyone looking to explore their inner child (or wanting to stimulate their guests full range of senses) I can’t think of a better place to throw an amazing celebration. Where else could you exchange vows amidst giant arcs or electricity, host an authentic Boston duck tour, or pose for a photo op with dinosaurs? Luckily, the answer isn’t rocket science…
