I must say that Monika and Dave completely rock! When I first met them I thought that they were somewhat of a reserved, down to earth couple. Down to earth… yes… reserved… No way! I was proved wrong on this as I got to know them better and especially on their wedding day!
Their ceremony was held in the Coker Arboretum at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens. Dave stayed true to keeping everything low key and even wore flip-flops. They also chose their dog as the ring bearer. What fun!
The reception was held in the Garden Terrace at the Fearrington Village Inn. They had southern style BBQ and had their own bottles of hot sauce waiting as party favors. They even brought out cornhole boards (beanbag toss in case you have no idea what that is)
Probably the biggest surprise of the evening came when they decided to leave Fearrington about an hour and a half before my scheduled time was up. They weren’t going home though! I followed them over to the “Deep End” bar on Franklin Street where they had first met. Walking into a bar loaded with professional camera gear on “quarter draft nights” sure stirs up a party and makes for some great pictures!

Their dog “Homie” was the ringbearer

At Fearrington… Monika has fond memories of cows from her childhood so I made sure to get them in the shot.
