Haywood Hall is the historic home of John Haywood, the first elected treasurer of North Carolina. His wife, Eliza, was an avid gardener who took great pride in the grounds. Haywood Hall is now owned by the Colonial Dames of North Carolina and is open to the public as a museum house. The house and gardens are also available for weddings and other events. The maximum capacity for outdoor events is 150 people; maximum capacity for indoor events is 100.

In addition to catering events in the DCC’s distinctive event spaces, Best Impressions Caterers operates Byron’s South End, a 5,000-sq.-ft. banquet facility accommodating up to 400 people. Byron’s South End combines the historic ambiance of the former Nebel Knitting Mill with urban style, and sophisticated lighting and sound systems to complement events ranging from professional meetings to formal receptions. Its proximity to the other DCC spaces creates unique indoor/outdoor options for events.
