We’re back in Asheville and the Biltmore Estate again. Yeah! I met up with Liza and Gregg for a personal engagement session. They’re a cute couple with a laid back attitude so we kept everything pretty low key. We had a great time exploring downtown Asheville and the grounds near the Biltmore House but we were on a tight timeline because of foreboding rain. I’m not originally from Asheville but I’m starting to get a sense that it rains there alot this time of year?
I had heard about Wall Street and was excited to photograph there. For those that may not know, Wall Street is a one block long area where a lot of trendy and funky shops and restaurants reside. It’s mostly for pedestrians and it turned out to be a great place to “people-watch” as I was waiting to meet up with them. Even though it was a bit overcast that day I tried to find a few area where the vibrant colors of the shops would shine through.
Liza is a UNC Charlotte graduate student and Gregg graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina and is currently working as a Physicians assistant. They are both currently living in Charlotte, NC and are looking forward to their marriage at the end of the year. Congratulations to both of you and I hope you enjoy the photos!

I like the bird and leaf decorations on this gate.

I nice stroll down Wall Street in Asheville, NC

We found this restaurant on Wall Street through a back alley where they had a stage and some hula hoops that we could play with. If anyone knows the name of this place I want to go back and have dinner their. It looks fun!

I have to applaud Liza for her amazing hula hoop skills… She was awesome. I tried it once in a store… It didn’t work out so well. My hips are just not meant to girate in any sort of fashion…

We then headed over to The Biltmore House and the surrounding areas.

I really like how this photo turned out. It was taken on the ramp near the front lawn of The Biltmore House

I really liked how natural and carefree this photo turned out of Liza and Gregg running across the front lawn of the Biltmore Estate.

In the back of the estate is a bridge that crosses a waterfall and a pond. The water filters down to another pond that is at the base of the estate.

Here’s a close up of the bridge.

This is the stream that connects the two areas. I took this photograph while hanging over the bridge. Good thing I’m not TOO scared of heights… Just a little bit. :)

You have to get really far away from the Biltmore House before it even begins to feel small!

Geese don’t really like it when tall men with shaved heads run through the middle of their “gaggle.” Trust me I know this…

For the final photo I said… “OK, I have a bit of a strange request for you guys. Could you pretend that you’re a couple of geese that are engaged and in love? I thought they did a pretty good job considering the lack of time to prepare properly.
