The Harrington and Lowery family hosted a beautiful wedding Friday, July 10th at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill North Carolina. The ceremony was held at The Newman Catholic Student Center across the street and the wedding reception was held in The Old Well Room.
The ceremony was simple yet meaningful and I think many of us got a little choked up at various points. Since we walked back and forth from the ceremony to reception site it made for some fun photos and a lot of “Congratulations!” from Chapel Hill and UNC residents…
This crew was a fun group and didn’t disappoint (as promised in dad’s toast) on the dance floor later in the evening. One of my favorite moments was when Jeff from Simpsound DJ services played Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and we were able to gather up the groomsmen to show us their moonwalk skills! See below for the fun…
I must admit that I’m a bit jealous that Shana and Scott are on their honeymoon right now in Europe and have been reporting in through facebook with some great photos. Shana has mentioned that Venice was her favorite so far and I have to agree. When I was photographing there, St. Peter’s Basilica was a must visit in the little time I had available. I can’t describe how huge it is on the inside. You just have to see it for yourself.
And last but not least… here are a few of the vendors I can recommend. Everyone did a great job to pull of an amazing event. Bravo to all!
VENDORS:
Event Planner: Katie Cathey The Carolina Inn
Florist: Tre Bella
DJ: Simpsound
Cake: Cinda’s Creative Cakes

This seems to bring new meaning to the term “Tarheel Fan.”

We found some letters on the church fridge to share Scott and Shana’s literary excitement as newlyweds!

I flipped my camera upside down to catch the reflection of the bridal party in the table.

A fun iphone photo of the wedding guests…

When I saw that this little guy’s argyle shirt matched the dancefloor so well I had to get him to show me a few moves…

Groomsmen aren’t quite as excited as the bride to eat wedding cake out of the grooms hand! :P

Jeff was a really cool wedding DJ to work with!

“Billie Jean” was perfectly appropriate due to the squares on the floor. If you don’t know what I’m talking about check the music video.

Even though they didn’t have a traditional wedding send off I suggested some fun with this with this tunnel of arms… Random I know but still made for some great shots!

It’s payback time for Scott…
