A ‘Kurt’eous Father of the Bride

I received a letter from Kurt J. today thanking me for photographing his daughters wedding this year. He asked me to forgive his handwriting (even though it looks fine to me) To be honest these gestures are ALWAYS appreciated (no matter how they arrive) so I’ll take anything from children’s scribbles to stone tablets with words chiseled in “Fred Flintstone style.” In a fast paced world where email and cell phones abound it’s especially awesome to receive hand written notes of appreciation like this one…

Craig,

Just wanted to drop you a note thanking you for the wonderful job you did taking the pictures for Kim and Mike’s wedding. The pics are awesome, and you have a wonderful talent for knowing just what to shoot.

You moved so silently that it was like you were invisible until you showed up in front of us for some shots.

Your skills and personality are perfect for this kind of work, abd you actually made it look like play rather than work.

I am VERY happy that Kim booked you.

I have recommended you to others here at work and outside work.

Thanks
Kurt Jones

The Hall and Gardens at Landmark Wedding Venue

The Hall and Gardens at Landmark is a wonderful wedding venue located in Garner North Carolina. I’ve only photographed there once when the weather was a little less than desirable so I hope to add more soon showcasing their beautiful garden area.

Fun Engagement Photography (Anne + Dan)

There’s no Dr. Seuss book here but when I met Anne and Dan I couldn’t help but think up all the scenarios where their rhyming names could stir up some fun! Perhaps their wedding vows could go something like…

“Oh will you wed me Dan the man?”
“Yes oh yes as Dan I am…”
“Will you wed me Anne… oh Anne?”
“Yes sir yes as Anne I stand…”

All kidding aside… I had an awesome time hanging out with them today. We had scheduled a fun engagement shoot in the heart of downtown Raleigh. From a few of these you would think that Anne’s favorite hobby is napping. I can certainly relate to that! It was just one of those days where you just wanted to take a walk in the park and relax. Of course, Dan’s idea of relaxing is splashing water from a drinking fountain in Anne’s general direction. It made for some great action shots though.
