Wedding Photojournalist Association ( WPJA ) – Recognition

For any of you that don’t already know about the WPJA it is a professional organization that highlights photojournalists and wedding photographers that take a candid documentary approach toward their work. I strongly feel that some of the most intriguing, romantic and provocative wedding images are captured in fleeting moments that most would never see if it weren’t for decisive photographers with the acumen to trip the shutter.

As a member, I visit the Wedding Photojournalist Association website often for inspiration, perspective or sometimes just to get choked up or laugh out loud. It is an honor to stand beside these talented photographers. I was recently recognized for one of my images that was taken during Tina and Mitch’s wedding at the Carolina Theater. As you may have read in my post this image was enjoyed by many in their family and I’m excited to know that others throughout the world will enjoy it too.
